Fort Worth Rodeo

The Fort Worth Rodeo is in town! Again. The rodeo is near us from January 12- February 3rd. I had the opportunity to see some of the Fort Worth Rodeo action. And it is huge!

The petting zoo has over 60 animals. One of the volunteers told me, the petting zoo has been great, and they had only lost 3 fingers so far. I panicked for a second, until he told me he was just kidding. So how can you catch a glimpse of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo within the next few weeks?

It takes place at Will Rogers Memorial Center. And has taken place there since 1944. This is within a short walk from the Children’s Museum, and the Cowgirl Museum. This makes a fun daytrip for kids so they can experience Science and History, as well as pet some animals all in a day. Entry to the museums grants you access to the Stock Show.

Adults can enjoy the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as well. There is live music, an art show/exhibit to watch, and western fashion to see. Fort Worth is pedestrian friendly and this is a fun and family friendly stroll.
